Paranormal, fantasy, sci-fi and supernatural erotic romance books are popular. Today’s ‘Hot Read’ brings more paranormal erotica to your attention. Alix Richards is the author of the Twin Flames Series. Her latest release, Soul Revealed, became available just a few short weeks ago.
Alix is a self-proclaimed “romantic with a harsh realistic twist, because some things just don’t happen in everyday life.” However, it doesn’t stop her from believing anything is possible. Soul Revealed follows that track. An excerpt:
“You aren’t the only one plagued by dreams. I’ve had them too.” His eyes roamed over her features, lovingly caressing each curve. Recalling their earlier kiss, his body hardened. He clenched his jaw. “I’ve dreamed about you.”
Toria’s eyes widened and her mouth opened in a perfect “O.”
“The same heat and passion you had in yours was in mine.”
Her throat worked as if she couldn’t swallow and her lips silently moved.
Living together for fifteen years, Victoria ‘Toria’ Blackhawk and Diego Ramos Silverthorne have no idea there is more between them than friendship. Until erotic dreams plague both and they must face the deeper meaning behind their nightly dream-romps.
Will Diego accept, Toria, the soul revealed as his divine mate? Can Toria get him to realize that his genetics aren’t a sentence to a lonely life?

Below is a BONUS interview with Alix Richards!
ES: What draws you to the genre or erotic romance?
AR: I’ve always read romance. Slipping into erotica had been an accident actually. I wrote a short that – to me – was just a passionately-charged short between two characters. I hadn’t considered it HOT or erotic. It wasn’t until I had the contract and started working with my editor I learned the difference between plain romance and erotic romance. All of my characters are passionate and fiery, due to their perchance for high intimacy. I write erotic. Which, by the way, I wouldn’t change for the world. It’s freeing writing erotic romance. Less rules and all that.
ES: How is your take on erotic romance different?
AR: I think I answered this question in part above. LOL I’ll expand on that…for me, I don’t really see a difference between romance and erotic romance. Aside from the realism and believability. For me, what everyone terms (labels) erotic, is just very much in love, very passionate couples. I’m just odd like that though.
ES: What made you decide to sit down and actually start THIS book? How did the idea come about?
AR: In the world I created (hybrids and deities) I wanted to show that even inside the fantasy world, there were different hybrids. Some who couldn’t change their forms, others who were more animalistic and so on. Soul Revealed was my way of showing how one, such as a Pure Bred, could be fearful of turning into the monster of their kind.
ES: What is next for you, writing-wise? Any new books you’re working on you want to share?
AR: To keep writing. Seriously, that’s what I do. I write and create. Right now, I have two new series making their way through the editing process. I received the cover for the first book (Gods’ Stones: Dark Jewel, due out September 5th) in the editor-themed call out, Wild Darkness Calls. Excited! I have another couple of series’ (Calanthia, First Ones, Royales, Survivors’) waiting their turns to be submitted as well as another Twin Flame story and a new Divine Immortals waiting patiently. Right this moment, I’m finishing up the final touches on the first piece in a new series. It’s titled Cat’s Heart, thinking that will be its official title. And I am getting into the mindset for one of the other ‘firsts’ in a new series. Yeah, I’m a workaholic. LOL [[Editor’s note: I’m already tired – and feeling like quite the underachiever!]]
ES: Is there anything else you would like to add that I haven’t asked?
AR: I think you’ve covered about everything. I would like to say, thank you for asking to participate in your blog. Normally I’m a hermit that stays in her writer’s cave writing until someone pops in and insists I stop to eat or sleep.
ES: That makes two of us!
